Answer: If he had any compassion, he’d cut Auburn in for at least half.

Every season, Croom’s bulldogs beat someone they absolutely shouldn’t, thus saving his job for one more year. I have nothing against the man (I actually root for him most games since Bama treated him so poorly). Still, I was hoping this year’s big upset would be West Virginia, but apparently, it’s Auburn’s turn.

In what was surely a job-saving win for their coach, Mississippi State cashed in on a cornucopia of Auburn mistakes to eek out the win. The funny sad thing is, that even after five turnovers, Auburn still had a great shot at winning if they could have gotten those last 8 yards.

On a personal note:
Usually, Auburn Elvis attends the MSU game, but this year (due to a family commitment) I was unable. Given the loss, this was fortunate since it preserves my perfect streak of Auburn wins while in attendance in costume. Look for Auburn Elvis to make an appearance at the Vandy game instead.
