Well, dropping another game to MSU was disappointing, but expected. But you can’t blame Quan Prowell. He scored a career-high 31 points in Auburn’s loss.
If you read ESPN’s take on the game, they claim Auburn “never threatened Mississippi State in the second half” but with 15 minutes to go, Auburn had closed the lead to just 2. Of course, MSU promptly rattled off a string of unanswered 3-pointers to pull away.
Since the game wasn’t on TV, I had to listen to it online - but not through Auburn’s pricey “All-Access” service. If you search long enough, you’ll find a station within the Auburn Radio Network that mistakenly broadcasts the game through their own website. Ahh, free radio - just like the good ole days.
