Going to the Auburn A-Day games was a fun (yet different) experience. The last spring game I’d been to was, I believe, in ‘83 or ‘84 (I remember seeing Bo Jackson play). It was kinda weird cheering both for and against Auburn. The crowd sorta gravitated toward cheering for the offense, but the defense looked […]
That sound you just heard was 30,000 Kentucky fans cursing. After much deliberation, the SEC has decided to hold the remaining quarterfinal game at noon, today; with the two semifinal games starting at 6:00-ish. That means Kentucky, should they beat Georgia, would have to play two games in one day. Adding insult to injury, the […]
We arrived in Atlanta at the Decatur Holiday Inn at about 10:30 AM. Unfortunately, our room wasn’t ready for early check-in until 12:15. This lead into a hurried routine of unload our bags, catch a quick shower, shave, and don the Auburn Elvis costume; all in an effort to make it to the Ga. Dome […]
Well, the season’s finally over. All-in-all, I think last place in the SEC was almost guaranteed since January. Only a complete collapse by Alabama and Georgia’s continued post-Harrick hangover made the competition for last place interesting. Heck, LSU fired Brady and still managed to sniff the middle of the SEC-pack.
So now, the attention turns […]

…yet strangely, we’re still tied with Alabama.
Once again, Auburn lost a close, very winnable game to a 2nd-tier SEC team (so what are we, 3rd tier?). Oh well, the evening wasn’t a total waste. My folks attended the game and were able to get me one of the Chuck Person bobblehead dolls Auburn gave away […]
Over the past few years, I’ve made a concentrated effort to take this whole Auburn Elvis thing to “the next level.” Putting on the suit, posing for some photos, and getting on TV has been fun, but are there more possibilities? Ideally, I think my goal is to become a fixture of Auburn athletics, to […]
After controlling the game for the first half, and playing well enough for most of the 2nd, Auburn suffered a complete collapse with about 7 minutes remaining; insuring a gamecock victory.
Auburn’s loss sent them tumbling to last place (alongside Alabama) in the SEC West. It now appears that, barring some unlikely scenarios (most of which […]
