Well, the season’s finally over. All-in-all, I think last place in the SEC was almost guaranteed since January. Only a complete collapse by Alabama and Georgia’s continued post-Harrick hangover made the competition for last place interesting. Heck, LSU fired Brady and still managed to sniff the middle of the SEC-pack.
So now, the attention turns to the SEC Tournament. The SEC’s final seeding and tournament bracket are set and the first round of post-season play begins. It’s a chance for good teams to pad their resumes and for the bad teams to dream of 4-day-miracle-runs to the Big Dance (oh, the good ole Sonny Smith days). And, ever the optimistic Auburn fan, I refuse to let little things like injury-depleted rosters and 4-game losing streaks keep me from having a good time in Atlanta. As I mentioned before, Auburn Elvis is holding an SEC Photo Scavenger Hunt for fans attending the Tournament. Hopefully this will add some additional fun to the whole tournament “experience.” So, if you’re going, look for yours truly, proudly cheering on the Tigers - win or lose.
