Well, this was a bit of a shock.
Going into the final 2 games I figure Tubs would need to win at least 1 to secure his job. I’m pretty mixed on this. Half of me feels we owe him for staying around after Jet-Gate. But half of me says his loss of control over his “Ole Miss Bunch” warrants the firing voluntary retirement.
In any event, what’s done is done and now it’s time to get a “sure ‘nuf” coach. I know Paul Johnson just unpacked his bags at Tech, but anyone who can beat Georgia like a drum is worth interviewing. Folks are throwing around Turner Gill from Buffalo. My Dad is secretly hoping for Rodney Garner.
In any event, this is the year to be looking for coaches.
