Well, the shock of losing last week is almost past. And now, two days from Saturday, I finally begin to turn my attentions the Kentucky game. Before the season, this looked like a real benchmark game for both programs. However, as the season progressed, the chances of Kentucky seriously testing the Tigers became more-and-more remote… right up until last week’s Arkansas game. Auburn’s still the odds-on favorite, but more because of Kentucky’s weaknesses than Auburn’s strengths.
Switching gears: the family is planning to go to the Raptor Center’s “Flighted Raptor Presentation” Friday afternoon. From there, we’ll hustle over to campus to setup our tailgate (and camping) spot. Afterwards, it’s time to go downtown to the downtown block party and pep rally (I’m pretty sure they mentioned pep rally the weekend of the Kentucky game, last time).) Then, we’ll turn in for the evening.
Saturday morning, we plan to take in the pair of Elvis exhibits at the Julie Collins Smith Museum and then hang with The College Kids Tailgate over by Lupton Hall. Then Tiger Walk, then the game.
Whew. That’s gonna be a full weekend of stuff.
