As advertised, it was a wild, wild Outback Bowl. There were over half-a-dozen combined turnovers, and about a gazillion big plays. The officials got into the act and called about as many official reviews as the teams called plays. But when the final gun sounded, Auburn eked out a victory in overtime. (BTW, Northwestern needs to find a better kicker.)
At times, the Tigers looked great; at times, they looked not so great. In the end, Auburn made one less mistake than the Wildcats. It was a crazy way to start the new year/ decade.
